  7.   This utility changes all of the
  8. alphanumeric characters sent to the
  9. screen to either cursive or italics!
  10. It doesn't work with all software,
  11. but with "normal" programs it renders
  12. interesting effects.
  13.  
  14.   Using this program is simple. First,
  15. you are presented with a small menu.
  16. Press the number of the selection you
  17. would like (italic, script, or return
  18. to LOADSTAR).
  19.  
  20.   If choose not to return to LOADSTAR
  21. then your screen turns into garbage.
  22. Don't worry, this is normal.
  23.  
  24.   At this point, the program changes
  25. the characters, one by one, as it
  26. reads them from the disk drive.
  27.  
  28.   When all of the characters have been
  29. changed, notice you are given examples
  30. of each variation of the print style.
  31. The italic's cursor becomes an empty
  32. block and the cursive's cursor becomes
  33. a "Smiley" face.

  35.   To change the characters back to
  36. their original state, press
  37. RUN/STOP/RESTORE.

  39.  NOTE: Because of the nature of this
  40. program, it does NOT return to the
  41. LOADSTAR environment.

  46.  DAVE'S NOTE: This program comes from
  47. LOADSTAR #019 -- ancient by our
  48. standards. However, the fonts were
  49. nice and the presentation interesting.
  50. AND, I needed something smaller than
  51. 60 blocks to tidy up this side on the
  52. 1541 version.

  54.  The GET#4 load method is quaint, to
  55. say the least. I copied each font as
  56. an "F." file, which is compatible with
  57. font designers and Mr. MICK.

  59.  Strange -- the program could not
  60. return to LOADSTAR. I guess folks
  61. weren't doing fonts all the time back
  62. then. If I have time before shipping,
  63. I will take a look and make this
  64. little beauty more LOADSTAR Quality.
